Lavalin case: V S Achuthanandan mocks Damodaran
Kochi: Opposition leader V. S. Achuthanandan on Sunday said that the stand taken by the counsel for Pinarayi Vijayan in the CBI court on the Balanandan committee report showed his “meanness’.
The counsel M. K. Damodaran had submitted before the court during the hearing of the SNC Lavalin case that Balanandan had not studied in depth the modernization of the Shenkulam, Panniyar and Pallivasal projects for around Rs 100 crore.
When confronted by reporters by queries in this regard at the Cochin international airport here, VS said that Balanandan should not have prepared the report without making a scientific study.
When asked whether his stand would corner the CPM state secretary, he said he can say anything for sure in this regard only after studying the case.
VS also said that he will decide on approaching the Kerala High Court in the solar issue after discussing the matter with his advocates.
He said he was unaware of any mediation held by Kunhalikkutty with CPM leaders to end the Secretariat siege by the LDF recently.
