Kunda witness lodges an Fir against Raja Bhaiyya
A fresh FIR has been lodged against former minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh, aka, Raja Bhaiyya, for allegedly intimidating a prime witness in the triple murder at Walipur village in Kunda in Pratapgarh district.
Divakar Tripathi, the prime witness in the triple murder case, has alleged that he was threatened and his driver was beaten up by Raja Bhaiyya’s men.
He has lodged a complaint at Sangramgarh police station following which a case was registered against Raja Bhaiyya and his men for threatening the witness in the case.
This comes after the former UP minister was issued summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to appear before it within a week, in connection with the triple murder at Walipur village March 2.
According to the reports of the preliminary investigation by the CBI, “nothing incriminating” has yet been found against Raja Bhaiyya but the investigating agency has issued summons to the former minister to “clear some doubts” in the triple murder of DSP Zia-ul-Haq, village head Nanhe Yadav and his brother Suresh Yadav.
Raja Bhaiyya had been named as a conspirator in the murder of the DSP by his widow, Parveen Azad, a medical student.
Earlier, the CBI has already grilled his cousin and former MP Akshay Pratap Singh alias Gopalji, MLA Vinod Saroj who is a confidant of the former minister.
The investigating team of the CBI has also questioned Kunda Nagar panchayat head Gulshan Yadav, representative of the former minister, Hari Om Srivastava and Raja Bhaiyya’s driver Rohit Singh.
