KJP will contest all 224 seats: BSY

Former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Wednesday said Karnataka Janata Party (KJP), which he is expected to lead after parting ways with the BJP, will contest all 224 seats in the state Assembly elections due early next year.
“I will field KJP candidates in all 224 seats in the next Assembly elections,” the disgruntled BJP leader told mediapersons at mantralaya, some 70 km from here.
Mr Yeddyurappa, who has announced his resolve to quit the BJP this month-end, said he was confident of his party reaping rich dividends in the next Assembly polls as regional parties were playing a bigger role in the country’s politics.
Mr Yeddyurappa had last week installed his loyalist V. Dhananjaya Kumar as the KJP chief. The party is expected to be formally launched at a rally at Haveri on December 9.
Mr Yeddyurappa ruled out alliance with the JD(S) and the Congress in future elections but would have talks with farmers’ bodies and other organisations for creating an impact in the polls. Replying to a question, Mr Yeddyurappa said though the lokayukta report had not indicted him in illegal mining scam, he was forced to resign becuase party state president K.S. Eshwarappa and other leaders had sent a “wrong” message to BJP central leaders.

Double-speak of BJP, RSS is exposed: cong
New Delhi, Nov. 14: Congress on Wednesday took a dig at RSS and BJP over the flip-flops of RSS ideologue S. Gurumurthy over giving clean chit to BJP President Nitin Gadkari saying it brings out the “internal fight” in both the organisations and dubbed them as “champion of double-speak”.
“Their internal fight is going on. Everybody knows that there is infighting both within the BJP and the RSS,” party spokesperson Rashid Alvi said when asked about the recent remarks by Mr Gurumurthy over the Gadkari issue.
Mr Gurumurthy, on whose analysis of the Mr Gadkari’s Purti Group account the BJP had backed its president, on Tuesday made a flip flop when he declined to have given him a clean chit but later retracted his remarks.
In a letter to the BJP president, Gurumurthy emphasised that he has given a clean chit to the beleaguered BJP leader. — PTI

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
