Kidnap of collector was planned: BJP
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday said the “nine-day hostage crisis” in Orissa was a “well-enacted, and planned drama” by the ruling BJD to deflect innumerable corruption charges levelled against the party and its leader Naveen Patnaik.
Speaking to reporters here, senior BJP leader Bijoy Mohapatra said the Naveen Patnaik government was well aware of the Maoists’ abduction plan and but did not take any steps to pre-empt it to divert public attention from the `700 dal scam that had exposed the chief minister’s “corrupt” face.
