Key documents missing from SIT report, claims Zakia Jafri
In a shocking claim, the main petitioner of Gulberg Society massacre that killed 69 including her husband and former Congress MP, Ehsan Jafri, Zakia Jafri, told the metropolitan court here on Thursday that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) closure report handed over to her on May 7 on the directions of the Supreme Court (SC) was, incomplete.
The 541-page SIT report has 68 volumes, 2,200 annexures, 25 CDs and a 89-page index and also includes an independent report filed by amicus curiae Raju Ramachandran.
Zakia told the court that twenty important documents were missing from the SIT s closure report that was given to her.
The court had earlier noted that since SIT had filed a closure report, Ms. Jafri, in compliance with the Supreme Court orders, must be given a copy of the report and supporting documents filed by the SIT before May 10.
The report gave a clean- chit to all 62 accused, including Chief Minister Narendra Modi for the Gulberg Society massacre of 2002.
