Kerala to continue to utilise Madhavan Nair 's service: CM Oommen Chandy
Despite Centre deciding to bar former ISRO chief G. Madhavan Nair from holding any government post, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday said the state would continue to avail the services of the space scientist.
"Nair is already giving valuable advice and service on many matters of state government. I expect that will continue and he is willing for that,” Chandy told reporters when asked about the development.
"Nair is a prominent personality in the country. His services to the nation is also important," he said.
"The State government wished to utilise Nair's services on many issues," Chandy said.
Nair and three other eminent space scientists have been barred from holding any government jobs in an unprecedented disciplinary action by the government for their role in the controversial Antrix-Devas deal.
