Kalyan: let CBI Prose BJP ‘deal’ with Kushwaha
Former BJP leader Kalyan Singh on Friday demanded a CBI probe into “deal” between BJP leaders and former UP minister Babu Singh Kushwaha that finally led to the latter’s induction into the BJP.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, Mr Kalyan Singh said that according to his information, several crores of rupees had changed hands before Kushwaha was allowed to join the BJP.
Questioning the silence of senior BJP leader L.K. Advani on this issue, Mr Singh said that the induction of Kushwaha was actually a part of a secret deal between the BJP and BSP. “After the polls, the BJP is all set to seek shelter in an alliance with the BSP and Kushwaha’s induction is proof of this,” Mr Singh said.

Lokayukta FIR on HDK on land denotification
AGE CORRESPONDENT
bengaluru, Jan. 6
The Lokayukta police has registered an FIR against former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, former minister Chennigappa and others in a case of illegal denotification of land in Arkavathy Layout. The Lokayukta court on January 2 ordered an investigation into allegations made by M.S. Mahadevaswamy.
The complaint said HDK as chief minister denotified survey number 84/1 (of 3.8 acres) at Thanisandra in October 2007, which was under acquisition for Arkavathy Layout. The BDA had reportedly created 58 sites in the same land and allotted 38.
However, on the recommendation of Chennigappa, the then chief minister HDK passed de-notification orders for the entire survey number 84/1. This caused huge loss to the state exchequer, the complainant claimed.
The complaint had also listed all the land owners as the accused in the case.
