Kabul: Pak remarks encouraging

Afghanistan has said that it is encouraged by the recent remarks of Pakistan in which it has said that it has “abandoned the policy of double play towards Afghanistan”.

The remarks were made by the Afghan ambassador in India, Shaida M. Abdali while delivering a talk on “Afghanistan in Transition: The Way Forward” in the capital on Tuesday.
Mr Abdali said Afghanistan was encouraged by the recent remarks of Sartaj Aziz, adviser on national security and foreign affairs to Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s before the Pakistani Senate’s standing committee on foreign affairs where he announced that Islamabad has abandoned the policy of double play towards Afghanistan.
