‘Jogi doesn’t enjoy support’

Rivalry between Chhattisgarh PCC chief Charan Das Mahant and former chief minister Ajit Jogi seems to have reached a flash point with the former asserting that the latter did not enjoy much support among party MLAs.

“Many Congress legislators gathered at Mr Jogi’s place after being invited by the latter to have tea with him. That does not mean that all of them support Mr Jogi. Even I would have joined the tea party if I was invited”, Mr Mahant told reporters here. He was reacting to the reported show of strength by Mr Jogi by organising a meeting of 18 party MLAs at his residence a couple of days ago.
