Jodhpur: 2 more die of spurious IV
Two more women died on Sunday following childbirth after they were allegedly administered contaminated intravenous fluids in government hospitals here, taking the toll in the tragedy to 15.
Morki Devi, 20, of Osian near Jodhpur had give birth to a stillborn baby in Umaid Hospital a day after she was admitted there. She was kept in the ICU following excessive bleeding and was shifted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital four days back.
Delu, 22, from Nepal, who was living in Jodhpur with her husband, had given birth to a healthy baby in Umaid Hospital on February 21.
On February 236, she was shifted to the ICU of MG Hospital following excessive bleeding.

Bengal: 5 detained for terror link

March 6: Five persons were detained for their suspected involvement in terrorist activities. On Sunday, they were caught from Kalikapur area at Barasat in North 24 Parganas, in West Bengal, and taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation. The police suspects them of having links with the banned Simi. Officials of different intelligence agencies questioned them. When contacted, additional director-general of police, CID, Raj Kanojia and additional commissioner of police (II) and chief of STF, Rajeev Kumar denied of detaining anyone linked with Simi.
