Jaya: Won’t sacrifice TN rights

Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa on asserted her government would not sacrifice the state’s rights at any point and vowed to create a “golden era” in the state.

“We will not sacrifice Tamil Nadu’s rights at any point or any stage. We will stand united; work hard (and) not sacrifice Tamil Nadu’s rights at any point or any stage,” she said in her New Year greetings to the people.
The chief minister’s remarks comes against the backdrop of the resurfacing of the controversy over Kerala’s move for building a new dam across Mullaperiyar.
