Jaya helps colleague with song lyrics

Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday witnessed some light moments when Chief Minister Jayalalithaa helped her cabinet colleague V S Vijay with lyrics of a song from a film starring her party AIADMK's founder M.G. Ramachandran, fondly known as MGR.

Replying to the debate on grants for his department, Health and Family Welfare Minister Vijay tried to recall the lyrics from the film but could not do so.

Jayalalithaa, a former actor who had paired opposite MGR in many films, not only recalled the exact lines but also named the movie starring her mentor, sending peals of laughter among members.

Vijay smiled and said he had forgotten the song and he had tried to use the lyrics to refer to the 'inaction' by the previous DMK government on starting new medical colleges.
