Jaya case adjourned to May 30
The Special Court today adjourned to May 30, the disproportionate assets case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, granting time to the defence for arguments.
Special judge B.M. Mallikarjunaiah posted the case to Monday when the defence sought time for arguments, citing unavailability of the senior defence counsel.
Earlier, the prosecution filed its objections to the memo filed by the defence seeking recall of a witness in the case.
With the senior defence counsel Navaneetha Krishnan being appointed as the Advocate General of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa is yet to appoint a counsel in his place.
