Jaitley: Don’t take Mulayam seriously
A day after Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said neither the Congress nor BJP would get a majority in the 2014 general elections, BJP on Sunday said his predictions should not be taken seriously.
“I don’t know what exactly he has said but as far as Mulayam Singh Yadav is concerned, one should not trust him as his party acts under Congress pressure and ultimately ends supporting them,” Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitely said here. Mr Yadav told party leaders in Lucknow on Saturday neither of the national parties — BJP and Congress — would be able to form the government at the Centre after 2014 elections.
“As you are aware what Mulayamji has done on the issue of nuclear deal, and recently on presidential elections. Samajwadi Party has lost reliability,” he said.

Bjp: pm has lost moral authority to lead govt
LALIT SHASTRI
BHOPAL, Aug. 19
The Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley on Sunday raised the issue of coal block allocation and said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has lost the moral authority to head the UPA government at the Centre.
Mr Jaitley was addressing a huge “Vivekanand Sandesh Yatra” organised in Indore by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha — the youth wing of the ruling BJP to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swamy Vivekanand. The BJP leader also put the UPA government in the dock over the influx of Bangladeshi refugees in the Northeast.
