Jagan's mother on dharna hits out at Sonia
Protesting the arrest of her son Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Pulivendula MLA Y.S. Vijayalakshmi on Sunday declared that she would go on a fast-unto-death from Monday at her residence till justice is done to him.
Soon after the arrest of the her son, Ms Vijayalakshmi along with family members — wife of the Kadapa MP, Y.S. Bharathi Reddy, sister Sharmila Reddy, aunt Y.V. Swarna Latha and one Ms Malini — , squatted on the road in front of the Dilkusha Guest House in protest.
Speaking to the media, Ms Vijayalakshmi asked, “Was this the gift she (Congress president Sonia Gandhi) gave to the family of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, who was responsible for bringing the Congress to power?”
“You want to make your son (Rahul Gandhi) Prime Minister, what would you like to do to my son?” she asked, with tears in her eyes.
She added that seeing the developments of the last three years, she was in doubt about the death of her husband YSR in the helicopter crash.
She said that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, who had been cooperating with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) during the ongoing investigation in the assets case, was arrested for no fault of his and the whole issue had been politicised by the Congress and the government.
