Hyderabad: The CBI Special Court at Nampally witnessed emotional scenes on Friday as Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and former home minister Sabita Indra Reddy appeared before it.
YSR Congress honorary president Y.S. Vijayalakshmi wept when she saw her son Jagan Mohan Reddy, who consoled her. She told him, “How long will we face these troubles? If your father was alive, we wouldn’t have faced these problems.”
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s  wife Y.S. Bharati and party MLA Shoba Nagi Reddy were also visibly upset.
Former home minister Sabita Indra Reddy was greeted by Jagan Mohan Reddy as she entered the court. She paused for more than a minute before she replied him. The YSRC chief asked her, “How is your son Karthik?”, to which she replied he was fine.
Sabita Indra Reddy looked disturbed when the CBI requested for judicial remand for her.
IAS officer Y. Srilakshmi, who has also been chargesheeted in the Dalmia Cements conspiracy case, was brought to the court in an ambulance and was unable to enter the court on the third floor. The court superintendent climbed down to take her attendance.
Police stopped Jagan Mohan Reddy’s family members and their followers from entering the court.
Vijayalakshmi and Bharati expressed their displeasure at the attitude of the police.
“It’s atrocious to stop the family (from seeing Jagan Mohan Reddy). Where are we? What kind of justice is this? What kind of a state is this? It is unfair on the part of the police to prevent us from entering the court premises,” Bharati complained.
YSRC men create ruckus near court
Hyderabad: Ruckus was created at the CBI special court as pro-Jagan and Pro-Telangana advocates raised slogans.
When Jagan Mohan Reddy was given one hour time to talk to his relatives, the advocates tried to storm the room in which he was talking to his family. Jai Jagan and Jai Telangana slogans echoed the court, despite a bar on agitations in the court premises.
The drama began from morning, when the YSRC chief came in bullet-proof vehicle to attend the court. Scores of his supporters came near Nampally court to see their leader as he emerged out of Chanchalguda jail after six months.
