Jagan home, offices raided; papers seized from Emaar

The residences and offices of the YSR Congress president and Kadapa MP, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and offices of companies that had invested in his firms were simultaneously raided by CBI teams across the country on Thursday.
A CBI team also raided the offices of Emaar-MGF office at Gachibowli. CBI sources said the agency also carried out searches of the company's office in New Delhi.
Massive raids were conducted in seven cities including Hyderabad and Bengaluru and the CBI officials hinted that they would continue on Friday too.
Fifteen CBI teams searched the offices of Sakshi newspaper, Sakshi channel and Bharathi Cement in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Rajkot, Delhi and Mumbai in connection with the probe into Mr Jagan mohan Reddy’s assets.
It may be noted that the special court for CBI cases on Wednesday had granted the Bureau seven days to conduct searches and submit a report.
In Hyderabad, around 30 vehicles that had gathered at the Dilkhusha Guest House on Wednesday night started dispersing with the teams as early as 6 am on Thursday for conducting the raids. The YSR Congress chief’s house near Lotus Pond at Jubilee Hills was searched by a team of six CBI officials led by DSP R.M. Khan.
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife, Bharathi Reddy, and his brother, Anil Kumar, were present during the search.Two different teams raided the offices of Sakshi newspaper and Sakshi channel and its administrative office at Road No 1, Banjara Hills. The raids at the MP’s residence and the Sakshi office lasted over 10 hours.
Meanwhile in Bengaluru, the CBI raided Jagan Mohan Reddy’s house in Bagalur under the Yelahanka police station limits at around 8 am.
Till late evening on Thursday, the agency had searched eight places including offices of companies that had invested in Jagan Mohan Reddy's firms allegedly on a quid pro quo basis when his father Rajasekhara Reddy was the chief minister.
