Infighting in BJP, SP to help Cong

The Congress appears to be gleefully watching the dance of dissidence within both the BJP and the Samajwadi Party, as these developments could well work in favour of the Grand Old Party, particularly in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh.

With just a few months left for the general election, the infighting in the BJP over nominating Gujarat CM Narendra Modi as its prime ministerial candidate may create a “certain hindrance” for the saffron outfit in its attempts to woo the floating Hindu vote. The BJP-RSS gameplan is that with Mr Modi at the helm, it could further consolidate and enlarge its Hindu vote base.
Similarly, the Mulayam Singh Yadav-led SP is also facing some sort of a Muslim backlash, particularly after the recent violenceecome the Narendra Modi of Uttar Pradesh.”
