I want to shed tag of abducted collector: Alex Paul Menon
“I don’t want to be identified as an abducted collector. I want to be known for my sincere works for six years as a civil servant for the poor people in Chhattisgarh,” said Sukma district collector Alex Paul Menon.
Thanking his relatives, friends, media and political leaders of Tirunelveli for voicing for his release from the clutches of Maoists at an indoor meeting on Thursday in Tirunelveli, Mr Alex Paul Menon, a native of Tirunelveli district, said that the people’s support cutting across states, creed and caste boundaries for his release from the Maoists keeps him burning to deliver more for the poor people of the tribal dominated Sukma district.
“Hence I took the bold decision of continuing as Sukma collector,” said Mr Alex Paul Menon, who also assured that he would work within the administrative system for the welfare of the proletariat.
