I-T raids residences of Malayalam superstars

The Income Tax department today conducted raids at the residences and offices of Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty.

Raid was conducted on allegations of amassing wealth disproportionate to their income. More details about the nature of the raid is not revealed.

The raids were conducted at their homes and offices in Kochi, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Tax sleuths raided the houses of several Kannada film makers and
distributors and seized many documents.

More than 80 officials were engaged in the duty.
