I have enough secrets to expose Mulayam: Amar

Former SP leader and now president of Lok Manch, Mr Amar Singh, said here on Wednesday that he had enough secrets to expose Samajwadi president Mulayam Singh Yadav, including his role in the Ayurveda scam that took place in 1994-95 in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr Singh said that he was not revealing the secret information only because he did not wish to lose his own credibility. “If I reveal all the secrets, people will not trust me in future — hence I will never reveal the information that I have,” he said.
Reacting sharply to Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav’s statement in a public rally that he had helped some people in their treatment, Mr Amar Singh said if Mr Mulayam Yadav had really helped him in his medical treatment, the money spent on the same should be clubbed with his disproportionate assets case. “I underwent treatment in Mount Elizabeth hospital in Singapore and if Mulayam Singh paid for it, he should give an account of the same,” he said.
Mr Amar Singh said that Mr Mulayam Yadav is now riding a one-wheel cycle that is usually used in circus. “He had done away with the other wheel — which was me — and is now riding the one-wheel cycle,” he said and added that there was no possibility of his ever returning to the SP. “If I am continuing with politics it is because the insults and the humiliation that I got is a driving force. I have never spoken even a single derogatory word about Mulayam Singh and he should also refrain from doing so,” he said. Mr Singh, accompanied by Ms Jaya Prada, released the manifesto of his Rashtriya Lok Manch. It includes creation of four separate states in UP, free power and water for farmers, 30 per cent quota for youth in legislature, implementation of Ranganath Mishra Commission and Sachar Committee recommendations and restoration of student unions.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
