I CAN CONTINUE FAST FOR 9 MORE DAYS, SAYS ANNA

Despite his health conditions deterorating, Gandhian social activist Anna Hazare on Thursday stood his grounds to continue on fast till the government accepts his demands on Jan Lokpal Bill. Alleying concerns of his supporters, Mr Hazare in his speech said that he could continue on the fast for another nine days.

“My fast has entered the ninth day. Nothing will happen to me. I can fast for another nine days. We will fight together,” he told the gathering at Ramlila Maidan. Mr Hazare’s assertions were greeted with loud applause and cheers by his supporters.
In a clear bid to keep the people involved in the ongoing agitation, Mr Hazare told his supporters that he was getting energy from theor enthusiasm. “Some people have spoiled the country, we will all together re-build the nation,” Mr Hazare said.
Though Mr Hazare was seen smiling on many occasions during the day, his health conditions was clearly reflected in his tired look.
“Till the government does not accept all my demands, I will not give up. Even if I die, I don’t care, but I’ll fight till my last breath,” Said Mr Hazare.
