Ho-Ho bus service a hit among tourists

The Hop-on Hop-off bus service launched by the Delhi tourism has become a big hit among both domestic and foreign tourists. This bus service, which was launched in September on International Tourism Day, is drawing admiration from foreign tourists who are finding it at par with similar services in European countries.
Dietev Schmitz, a German tourist in his 50s, has been highly impressed by the Hop-on Hop-off bus services and is going to use it to savour all the tourist destinations of Delhi. “This is a highly international standard experience, just like the one we have in Germany and also those in London, Paris and other cities. I have been to the Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate and will be going to other places,” said Mr Schmitz.
The 12-hour Hop-on Hop-off service has 12 buses on its fleet, with another two on the standby and connects Red Fort, Feroz Shah Kotla, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Purana Qila (Old Fort), Humayun Tomb, Lajpat Rai Market, and Qutub Minar, while originating from the Baba Kharak Singh Marg, where all the state emporia are located.
“This service is being availed by both the domestic and foreign tourists in good numbers. The foreigners are also enquiring about the Commonwealth Games venues and various events,” said Shobhit, a guest relation officer on board one such bus.
The service being run by a private company — which has received the contract from the Delhi tourism — has two kinds of tickets, one of Rs 300 and another at Rs 150 for anyone “below three feet height”, said Ankush, an in-charge at the information centre of the Hop-on Hop-off services at the Baba Kharak Singh Marg, who added that more services like arrangements for snacks and infotainment would soon be added in the buses.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
