HDK levels fresh allegations on Yeddy
Continuing his tirade against Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, former state chief minister and JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy on Wednesday levelled fresh allegations against Mr Yeddyurappa. The JD(S) leader alleged an educational trust run by Mr Yeddyurappa had received over `27 crores as donation from companies, including some loss-making ones, which benefited from the government.
Mr Kumaraswamy, while addressing a press conference in the city, alleged that some loss — making companies had paid crores to Prerna Educational and Social Trust, formed by Mr Yeddyurappa’s son B.Y. Raghavendra. He said while the BJP has launched a campaign against the UPA government on the corruption issue, the party itself has shielding its leader Mr Yeddyurappa. The meet was attended by CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, CPI leaders A.B. Bardhan and D. Raja. TDP leader Namo Nageswara Rao was also present. “The trust collected `27.18 crores from Adarsh Developers, Industrial Techno Manpower Services Ltd (ITMS), M.B. Jayashankar of Adarsh, Prof. Doraiswamy and his son Prof. Jawahar, Real Technical Solutions and South West Mining Ltd among others,” Mr Kumaraswamy said.
