Gulabi Gang leader to be in Bigg Boss
If Bigg Boss Season 4 had former bandit queen Seema Parihar as a big attraction, the reality show’s sixth season will have “Gulabi Gang” leader Sampat Pal as a star contestant.
Sampat Pal, who heads a women’s vigilante group that wears pink saris (hence “Gulabi”) has acquired fame internationally for her crusade against domestic violence, injustice and corruption in Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region. “I first got a call from the channel last month, but since I didn’t know what they were talking about, I disconnected. They called up again and explained all the details about the programme. I told them to come and meet me, see the environment in which I live and then decide,” she said on Sunday.
TV channel representatives visited her home at Badausa in Chitrakoot, and besides talking to her, also filmed her extensively. Bigg Boss’ sixth season is due to begin October 7, but Sampat Pal still has no clue when she will be called to enter the Bigg Boss house. The lady also doesn’t know who her companions will be in the Bigg Boss house. On payment, the feisty lady refused to say a word. “Yeh mere aur channel ke beech ki baat hai,” she said.

3 arrested for Def Col heist: Case cracked?

With the arrest of three persons, the Delhi police claims it has cracked Friday’s sensational broad daylight heist of `5.25 crores at Defence Colony in 28 hours. The police also recovered `2,36,85,000.
The accused were identified as Deepak Sharma, 34, a resident of Delhi’s Pushap Vihar; Mukesh and Tekran. Deepak was involved in the robbery, while the other two are relatives of an accused yet to be arrested. The arrests were made at Pushap Vihar.
