Gogoi: resolve differences through talks
Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi here on Thursday renewed his appeal to all the ethnic groups agitating for separate state to resolve the differences through talks and remain like a single family.
Hoisting the national flag at Khanapara Field, Mr Gogoi however expressed hoped that they would succeed in finding some amicable solution to the problem through proposed tripartite discussions.
Mr Gogoi said, “We want to stay together. We are one family. We should stay together as a family in future also.”
Announcing that home ministry has agreed to hold a tripartite discussion on various statehood demands, Mr Gogoi said, “I am happy to announce that central government has agreed to hold a tripartite discussion.”
