GANDHI CAPS become FASHION STATEMENT

People call it the Anna impact. In the past three days, Gandhi caps and national flags have recorded massive sales in various cities of Uttar Pradesh.
The Gandhi caps, incidentally, are making a fashion statement and young boys and girls are wearing them to college with “I Am Anna” t-shirts. “The sale of tricolour on Tuesday was three times more than its sale in the run up to the Independence Day. We have never seen so many people rushing in to buy the flags,” said K.K. Misra, a salesman at Allahabad Gandhi Ashram. “We were selling about a dozen Gandhi caps in months but since Tuesday, we have sold over 550 pieces,” says Murlidhar Dwiwedi, who owns a garments shop in Sigra.
