In Gadkari’s absence, Munda key negotiator
The BJP leadership, in absence of the party president, is in constant touch with the party MP and former Jharkhand chief minister, Mr Arjun Munda, who is negotiating with JMM chief and Jharkhand chief minister Mr Shibu Soren.
The BJP on Monday confirmed that its chief, Mr Nitin Gadkari, left for Europe on Monday and “among other things, his tour also aims at studying the latest developments in renewable energies, solar technology and bio-fuel.

On the Jharkhand issue, though Mr Munda has been authorised to talk to coalition partners, these talks seem to be going nowhere. JMM, which is heading the coalition government in the state, is demanding rotation of power, with both BJP and JMM heading the coalition government for 28 months each. But the BJP is yet to formally announce its final decision on the issue.
Sources disclosed, BJP which is desperate to becomes a part of the ruling coalition government, is likely to give in to JMM’s demand of power sharing. Party’s top brass had a meeting on Friday on the issue after which Mr Munda was asked by the central leadership to speak to JMM chief. Though JMM has agreed to BJP-led government, the power sharing issue is yet to be resolved. Also, a section of the JMM wants its supremo to continue as the Chief Minister.
