Fury erupts in Parliament, spat between 2 MPs in RS
Both Houses of Parliament were rocked by uproar and adjournments over the killing of five Indian soldiers by Pakistani troops on the LoC on Tuesday, with the Rajya Sabha witnesss to an ugly spat between two MPs.
Both Houses also saw continuing protests on Telangana.
A spat between Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar and Samajwadi MP Naresh Agarwal during a Rajya Sabha debate on the killings.
The trouble began as Opposition MPs sought a reply from the government. Chairman Hamid Ansari asked if it was the wish of the House to dispense with Question Hour.
Mr Aiyar said there were equally serious issues like the rise in natural gas prices listed for Question Hour and asked if SP members were not concerned about the gas price increases.
To this, Mr Agarwal made an insinuation against Mr Aiyar that the Chair immediately expunged.
