Former domestic help stabs 55-year-old man
A 55-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by his former disgruntled domestic help in Kalkaji area of southeast Delhi on Thursday, the police said.

0.30 pm on Thursday when the deceased, identified as Jagannath Patra (55), a shopkeeper in Chittaranjan Park, was stabbed at least 21 times by the accused with a kitchen knife at his Kalkaji residence on Thursday night following an argument.
The deceased used to live alone at his residence and the accused had gone to his residence on Thursday evening to claim his dues. The police said that the accused stabbed him “in a fit of rage” and escaped from the house. The neighbours were alerted by the commotion emanating out of his house and rushed to his residence. “Patra was found in a pool of blood and he was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” a senior police official said. The accused was caught from the terrace of a residence when he tried to jump in a joint operation with the police by the locals and he was handed over to police. During interrogation, the accused, a resident of Almora in Uttrakhand, reportedly told the police that the deceased used to abuse him, “He told us that he had not been paid his salary.”
Whenever he asked for it, Patra allegedly abused him and refused to pay up,” said a senior police official.
