Five minor girls rescued from brothel

Five minor girls allegedly forced into prostitution by their parents were rescued after a raid in a brothel in Ramnager.

After an information that minor girls were being forced into prostitution by their parents, a police raid was conducted on Tuesday evening at Ramnager, nine kms away from the district headquarters in Sadar police station area, and five girls were rescued, S.P. Priti Chandra on Wednesday said.

The girls were on Wednesday produced before a court, which sent them to juvenile home.

There were reports that the minor girls were kept in custody at Sadar police station on Tuesday night, which Additional SP N.L. Pavan admitted that it was illegal.
