On FB, Mulayam son campaigns for pug
Meet Dulari, also known as Beti.
She is a pug owned by Prateek Yadav and Aparna Yadav, the son and daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav, and is currently participating in a pet pageant hosted by the Humane Society of the United States on World Spay Day.
According to her resume uploaded on the website, Dulari loves to go for long drives in the car and her most endearing “bad habit” is “sleeping on the pillow”.
Nicknamed Beti, her “person” is Prateek Yadav. Both Prateek and Aparna, through their Facebook pages, are busy campaigning for Dulari. The couple has been asking their friends to vote for Dulari through the website and their requests seem to be working wonders.
Dulari has already got 464 votes for the main pageant, 453 votes in the most photogenic category and 460 votes in the best smile category. She is placed fifth in the contest and has to supersede four pets — three dogs and a cat — to make it to the winning post. Marching ahead of Dulari is Titus (dog) from New York, Mrs Gray (cat) from Walnut (US), Cocoa (dog) from New York and Donaghy Burton (dog), also American.
The contest ends on March 15 and there is enough time for Dulari to emerge a winner in this international contest.
