Family shows ‘affair’ pictures

Deceased supermodel Viveka Babajee’s family’s publicist on Sunday released photographs of Viveka and her alleged boyfriend stockbroker Gautam Vora together, further strengthening the family’s claim that the two were more than just friends.
According to publicist Dale Bhagwagar, the pictures were obtained after the family managed to gain access to Viveka’s Gmail as well as Facebook accounts. He added that the family also recovered many emails revealing the fact that Viveka and Mr Vora were in a relationship.
“The Babajee family feels that this new evidence should leave no doubts that Mr Vora had lied and misguided both the police and the media, about the nature of his relationship with Viveka, by spreading the ‘depression theory’ after her death,” Mr Bhagwagar said.
“In Viveka’s Gmail account, the Babajee family has also found some shocking obscene photographs, which Mr Vora had sent Viveka from his BlackBerry phone. But since these photographs are pornographic in nature, we haven’t made them public,” he added.
After Viveka’s suicide in June, Mr Vora has been claiming that she was just his friend. He stated the same in his anticipatory bail application, as well as in his statement to the Khar police.
Mr Vora had further said that on June 24, he was in Bandra when Viveka called him, and he went to visit her. He said that she was depressed over the failing state of her company Vibgyor Entertainment, as well as her failed relationships. However, Viveka’s family has refused to believe that she was depressed, saying that she had spoken to her mother, Ms Dayawanti Babajee, two days before her suicide, and she had seemed to be in high spirits.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
