Family fasts for return of soldier’s head

The family of soldier Hemraj Singh went on hungerstrike in Shernagar village of Mathura district on Saturday to demand that the head of the slain soldier be brought back from Pakistan. Hemraj was one of the two soldiers recently killed by the Pakistan Army.

The local villagers have also joined the hungerstrike. They are angry because no politician or bureaucrat has come to meet the soldier’s family.
Hemraj, who was with the 13 Rajputana Rifles, is survived by his widow, two daughters and a son.
