Explosion on ship off Mumbai

Seven people were injured due to an explosion on a South Korean ship off Mumbai on Saturday, an official said. No casualties were reported.

"Some work was in progress on the ship off Mumbai coast when there was an explosion on board," a military official tpld.

The injured have been moved to hospitals. It is not clear if the injured were civilians or crew members.

The fire broke out in 'Royal Diamond 7' boat near the Butcher Island off Mumbai coast, police said.

The vessel seems to have been ferrying some chemicals, they said. The injured have been rushed to St George hospital in South Mumbai.
