Envoy attack: 3 Iranians visited often
The three Iranian nationals who are suspected of having carried out a bomb blast on an Israeli embassy car on February 13 in Delhi have been frequently visiting India from the last five years.
Security agencies have confirmed that Housan Afshar Irani, the suspected bomber who attached a sticky bomb to an Israeli embassy car on Aurengzeb Road on February 13, and his accomplices, Syed Ali Mehdi Sadr and Mohammed Reza Abolghasemi, came to India from various countries in Asia and West Asia on business tours on a number of occasions. During their visit to Delhi, they have stayed at some of the reputed cultural places and some top hotels in the city.
Investigations have also revealed that the black Hero Honda Passion Pro bike owned by one Prit Pal that was used by Irani to chase the Toyoto Innova of the Israeli diplomat Tel Yehoshua as she left Israel’s diplomatic mission in Delhi was given “out of courtesy” by Mr Pal as he was reportedly very close to the three suspects and knew them as businessmen from Iran. “When we questioned Prit Pal, he was surprised to hear that the Irani nationals had used his bike for terror purposes since he knew them well,” a source said.
