Don’t dictate, mulayam to tell Team Anna
Apparently miffed at team Anna’s poser to party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on whether he would tie up with the Congress or BJP after the UP elections, Samajwadi Party plans to tell Mr Anna Hazare “not to dictate the democratic process” in a letter to be sent on Tuesday.
The SP will remind Mr Hazare that the party had expressed its stand on the Lokpal Bill, which should not be taken as a blanket support to his agitation.
Team Anna on Sunday had sent letters to SP chief, BSP supremo Mayawati, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi and BJP chief Nitin Gadkari asking them a number of questions, including clarification on their impending political moves in the poll-bound UP.
“Team Anna is making attempts to dictate political parties. Which political party we will tieup is a question to be addressed by party leaders and elected representatives. Team Anna should not interfere in the well established democratic process,” sources said, while quoting from the letter, which would be sent to Mr Hazare either in the name of Mr Yadav or the party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav on Tuesday.
