DMK MPs meet over action in Parliament
In what could be described as the first of its kind, the MPs of Darvida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) met for the first time on Wednesday morning over breakfast to discuss their participation in the proceedings of Parliament. The highlight of the meet was the presidentship of Union minister of chemicals and fertilisers M.K. Azhagiri at his residence in Kamaraj Marg.
The one-hour meeting was attended by the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs.
At the end of the meeting former Union minister T.R. Balu said that they discussed various projects pending with the Centre that needs to be cleared.
The party MPs also focused on self-coordination on matters concerning the state without steering away from the core principles of the DMK. Mr Balu also said that suggestions were given to the MPs on posing queries .
