Dhanbad hotel exec director goes missing
A senior official of a hotel at Dhanbad in Jharkhand, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances. Uday Shankar Chanda, the executive director of the hotel, went missing on his way to Kolkata from Dhanbad. He stays with his younger son at Thakurpukur in the city. The police of both the states have started a joint probe into his disappearance.
Mr Chanda, aged around 60, left for the city early on Saturday from his workplace at Bank More in Dhanbad.
Dilip Singh, his car driver, was with him. Mr Chanda first went to Burdwan for some official work and was expected to reach home by 6 pm.
As time passed and he failed to arrive, his younger son Rahul tried to contact him but his father’s cellphone was switched off. Dilip’s cellphone was switched off too.
Worried over their disappearance, Rahul sought the help of the local police first. Later he lodged an FIR with the Bank More police station in Dhanbad.
Superintendent of police (Burdwan) Humayun Kabir said, “Acting on the complaint, the Jharkhand police shared an information about the tower location of his cellphone with the Kulti police station.”

Maria not to be in Bigg Boss 5
Mumbai, July 3: The channel airing Bigg Boss has dismissed speculation that Maria Susairaj, who walked out of jail after serving more than three years for the Neeraj Grover murder case, might participate in the fifth season of the reality show.
“There are numerous speculative stories on Maria Susairaj’s participation in Bigg Boss 5. But we’d like to clarify that we have neither approached Maria nor will be doing so in future,” said a spokesperson of Colors, the channel which has aired four seasons of the show.
