Dalit couple kills 4 kids, themselves
A dalit couple committed suicide after poisoning their four girls late on Saturday night at a village under Hanumangarh district. The police ordered a probe to find out the cause of the suicide. An officer said that the head of the family, Omprakash Nayak, was upset after the birth of the fourth daughter two months back. The Shekhawati region witnessed 14 incident of abandoning baby girls on roadside or in wells.
According to the police, Omprakash, 33, and his wife Chukli, 30, were found dead along with their four daughters Puja, 8, Archana. 6, Nandni, 4, and 2-month-old Munni.

SPO among two killed by Maoists

Nov. 21: Suspected Maoists on Sunday killed one special police officer (SPO) and a Salwa Judum (anti-Naxal civil militia force) leader in two separate incidents in Chhattisgarh, the police said.
The SPO, Kori Nagej (26), was shot dead by a group of armed rebels at a busy market place in Chintalnar area in Dantewada district when he was buying groceries from a shop. The militants sprayed bullets all over his body killing him on the spot.
In another incident, Nadu Karma, a senior judum leader and relation of former Congress Lok Sabha member Mahendra Karma was shot dead at Bhairamgarh in Bijapur district. He was killed when he was on his way to a judum camp from his village at Bhairamgarh on a motorcycle.

7 injured in Srinagar explosion

Nov. 21: At least, seven civilians including two women, were injured in a grenade explosion outside the town of Bijbehara, 52-km south of here, on Sunday afternoon, the police said.
Reports quoting witnesses said that unidentified militants tossed a hand grenade towards a CRPF road-opening-party (ROP) at Gorwan on the outskirts of the highway town of Bijbehara. It, however, missed the intended target and exploded near a running Santro car and a scooter.

10-year-old kidnapped, found dead

Nov. 21: A 10-year-old boy, kidnapped for ransom from his home town of Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh’s Sarguja district on November 15, was on Sunday found dead in Dangania in the neighbouring state of Jharkhand, the police said.
The decomposed body of the boy with hands and legs tied was fished out of a local pond on Sunday afternoon. A huge stone was also found inside the school bag that was tightly fixed with the body.
“It appears the boy was killed and later thrown into the pond three to four days ago. The body is swollen and decomposed,” deputy SP, Gadba, in Jharkhand, Sraban Kumar said.
