CRPF men hit by bees attack during anti-Naxal patrol
Over two dozen troops of CRPF and state police were injured on Monday in an attack by a swarm of honey bees when they were out on a patrol in Chhattisgarh's Maoist-hit Narayanpur district.
The troops, belonging to the 38th battalion of the force and a few from local police, suffered heavy swelling on their faces and other body parts as a result of the bee bite. The troopers, out on area domination patrol, were taken to a nearby health centre for medical aid.
A senior official said a swarm of bees descended upon the security forces personnel after a gust of wind started blowing in the jungles of the district.
