Cross dresser ex-IG settles martial dispute

Former inspector-general of police D.K. Panda, popularly known as “Doosri Radha” after he turned a cross dresser, has finally managed to settled his dispute with his wife Veena Panda.

The former police official, who had abandoned his wife after proclaiming himself to be a reincarnation Radha and an ardent lover of Lord Krishna, has agreed to abide by the directives of the family court and pay a maintenance allowance of Rs 15,000 per month to his wife.
The court issued the directive after a two-hour counselling of the separated couple. The court also refused to grant divorce to the estranged couple and said that though they could live separately, they would continue to be man and wife in the eyes of the law.
“I get a pension of Rs 25,000 and I have agreed to pay her Rs 15,000 every month. I cannot allow her to live with me because I now belong to Lord Krishna and cannot even think of another partner,” he said.
Mr Panda came dressed to the court in a yellow sari, bedecked with jewellery and wearing vermilion in his hair.
