Court tells N.D Tiwari to undergo paternity test
Rejecting Mr Tiwari's plea that court could not direct him to undergo DNA test, Justice S. Ravindra Bhat said that there was need for him to give blood samples for the test. Mr Tiwari contended that he could not be compelled by the court to undergo paternity test to ascertain the claim of petitioner Rohit Shekhar. Earlier in 2010,
Mr Tiwari moved the Supreme Court against a high court order that dismissed his plea challenging the paternity suit filed by Mr Shekhar. In the high court, Tiwari contended that the paternity suit was filed by Mr Shekhar 31 years after he was born with the objective of maligning him.
