Corruption a major national issue: Manmohan Singh

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said corruption has become a major national issue and asked all political parties to work together to help overcome the problem.

Asked about the mass support for Anna Hazare's anti-corruption hunger strike, he said: "Corruption has become a major national issue".

"All the political parties should work together and find ways how to minimize corruption", Singh told journalists accompanying him on his return from Dhaka.
