Cops release sketch of cycles used in blast
The Andhra Pradesh police has released sketches of a bicycle used in the twin bomb blasts in Dilsukhnagar here in February which killed 17 and had injured more than 100 people.
Cyberabad police commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao released the sketches of a damaged bicycle here on Monday.
Since the rear portion of the bicycle is totally damaged and only its front portion is available, it can be concluded that the explosive charge had been fixed on the bicycle’s carriage, Mr Rao said. The bicycle’s damaged parts found in front of the Anand Tiffin Centre at Konark Theatre revealed that it was assembled with parts of bicycles manufactured by different companies, he said.
The bicycle’s main frame, handle bar, bumpers and fork belong to Atlas company, while the front rim was manufactured by Usha, he said. Giving further details of the bicycle, he said that the front tyre was manufactured by a company called Ganga in April 2012, while its front tube is Gamra (Ganga) which was manufactured in October last year. The bicycle’s chain was a heavy duty “KW”, made in England.

CBI seeks CUSTODY of suspects in DSP murder case

The CBI on Monday sought from the special court (Lucknow) the custody of two close aides of former Uttar Pradesh minister Raja Bhaiyya arrested by the state police in connection with the murder of DSP Zia-ul-Haq and the related violence.
According to sources the agency moved an application before the special CBI court (Lucknow) seeking police remand of Rajeev Singh and Sanjay Singh alias Guddu Singh, arrested by the state police in connection with Walipur violence in which the DSP, village head Nanhe Yadav and his brother Suresh were murdered.
The CBI joint director R.S. Bhatti on Monday held a series of meetings with top police and state government officials seeking logistical assistance from the UP government for the agency team camping in Pratapgarh. Sources said Bhatti met DGP Ambrish Sharma.
