Congress leaders to sip Telangana alone

The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) seems confident that Telangana leaders from all parties who have recently resigned will unite under the banner of Ikya Vedika and fight for a separate state.

But Congress leaders from the region have decided to follow some other plan.

The Telangana Congress leaders said that they would go at it alone, without teaming up with any other party or the Telangana Political JAC.

This was decided in a meeting on Thursday evening held at the residence of the panchayat raj minister, Mr K. Jana Reddy, who was joined by the MPs who had just returned from New Delhi.

Mr Jana Reddy said that they would continue fighting till Telangana was achieved and there would be no compromise on this.
