Cong, TDP want to eliminate third alternative in Andhra Pradesh: Jagan
YSR Congress Party chief and Kadapa MP Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday said that both the Congress and the TDP want to eliminate third alternative in the state.
He also charged that the Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh would survive based on support extended by Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
In an interview to a news channel, Jagan said: "I have doubts about falling of this government as Chandrababu Naidu is strongly in support of this (Congress) government. Even if people want this government to fall, Chandrababu Naidu is in support of this government. So I don’t think that would happen."
Replying to a query, he alleged that the intention of both Congress and Telugu Desam was to eliminate the third alternative in the state (that has come up in form of YSR Congress).
Meanwhile, defying the Congress leadership, Congress legislator Alla Nani and MP Sabbam Hari on Saturday accompanied Jagan when he appeared before CBI for questioning in the alleged disproportionate assets case.
The son of former chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy also claimed that several leaders from both TDP and Congress were in touch with him though he was not in a mood to welcome everyone.
Incidentally, Jagan’s plea for anticipatory bail will come up for hearing on Monday.
Sabbam Hari who spoke to media when Jagan was being questioned by CBI said that the investigating agency may not arrest his leader till May 28 when the court is scheduled to hear his bail plea.
