Cong to go on with parivartan yatra

The Congress officials said the party would resume its “parivartan yatra” with vengeance in Chhattisgarh to send out a message to the Maoists that they cannot brow-beat the workers.
The Congress would sharpen its attack on the BJP and Maoists in the coming days without demanding dismissal of the Raman Singh government.
The BJP, they said, is spreading various rumours, playing diversionary tactics about change of a route on May 25, the day the barbarous attack killed over two dozen top leaders of the party.
Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Bhakta Charan Das alleged that Maoists and the BJP are “closely working” in Chhattisgarh to serve each other’s purpose.
“Does the chief minister feel that he can absolve of his responbility after the action against the SP, IGP and collector?”, Mr Das said. He asked whether it was not a fact that the failure to provide security for the “Congress Parivartan Yatra “was due to “total lapse” of the state intelligence?”
He said if this was so why action has not been initiated against the state intelligence chief who has been a “trusted” officer of the CM ?
Besides, he wanted to know from the CM whether it was not a fact that the state home minister was “powerless” to
take any actions as the home ministry was being run by Mr Raman Singh along with the intelligence chief.
“The Chief Minister should quit accepting his responsibility”, Mr Das said adding the “failure” on the part of the CM to respond to any of the charges of Congress in the wake of the May 25 incident had further “exposed” him.
When told that the Congress was making a serious charge of collusion between Chhattisgarh unit of BJP and Maoists, he said “there is substance in our charges and we are making them forcefully”.
Mr Das, who has been for long AICC secretary in charge of Chhattisgarh, dismissed speculation suggesting that the incident occurred due to collusion of some state party leaders with the Maoists.
“There is no need to raise such type of questions as Congress had been the hardest hit by the incident”, he said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
