Cong gets ready as jagan arrest likely

Political parties in AP, including the YSR Congress, have begun an assessment of the political situation in the event of Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy being arrested by the CBI, as seems likely. Once the arrests of

individuals named in the illegal assets case of Mr Reddy and illegal allotments case of Emaar begin, the CBI probe will be stepped up. Sources say that Mr Reddy could be taken into custody after the monsoon session of Parliament is adjourned sine die on September 8. Mr Reddy is likely to commence the second stage of his Vodarpu yatra in Krishna district on September 10. There is speculation that things may not move so quickly. As in the case of Mr G. Janardhana Reddy, who was arrested nine months after the stay was vacated, Mr Reddy’s arrest could take a while.
