Cong, BJP, JD-U forget power bills
The Congress, BJP and Janata Dal (U) have lost power in the state capital because they simply “forgot” to pay their electricity bills.
The Lucknow Electricity Supply Undertaking (LESA) has claimed that it has disconnected the power supply to the offices of these three political parties for non-payment of power dues.
“The BJP owes us `8 lakhs, the Congress has to pay `5.6 lakhs while the JD(U) owes us `80 lakhs. Apart from these three, we have disconnected the power supply in the offices of forest officer, conservator of forests and offices of BDO and CDO. A total number of 70 disconnections have been made,” said a LESA official.

NEW DELHI
March 25: The CPI has demanded that the Srikrishna Commission report on Telangana should be rejected as it observations and recommendations were wrong and impractical.
“Its recommendations are not practical. This report should be rejected as Fazal Ali’s recommendations were rejected in 1955,” said CPI deputy general secretary Sudhakar Reddy, who led his party’s study report on Telangana which forced the party to review its position and back the demand.
Participating in a roundtable discussion on “Telangana: Current Dynamics” in Delhi, organised by Observer Research Foundation, Mr Sudhakar Reddy described the Srikrishna Commission report as a big disappointment.
